Fall '15 Favorites

I don't usually do these types of posts but I have been seriously using these things like crazy so I thought I share them with you guys! Hope you guys enjoy and happy fall!!!

Beauty Favorites

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation - Great medium coverage but light enough for everyday wear

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream - For those lazy days where I just need a little quick pickup

Khroma Beauty Lipgloss in Black Honey - Pretty dark plum color perfect for the fall and also smells like honey!

NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette - Has every bronzer and highlighter you will ever need. I am normally not a huge contour person but ever since this palette came out I have been obsessed. Not to mention a great dupe for the Anastasia Contour Palette which is around $40.

Tarte Matte LipSurgence in Envy - Dark pinky nude great for everyday fall wear. This has been my go to lip color. It pretty much goes with every look and outfit and works great on all skin tones.

Hask Macadamia Oil Hydrating Hair Treatment - I am currently in the process of lightening up my hair to prepare for a color (will reveal later on). Because of the chemicals used my hair has been pretty dry lately and this treatment has been a savior. It basically is a deep conditioner that is enriched with macadamia oil.

Misc Favorites

iPhone 6s Plus in Space Grey - I recently updated my phone a couple weeks ago from an iPhone 6 in Gold to this big boy. I gotta say I am very impressed. The changes in this phone makes quite a difference in how you use it now. Plus I really wanted a big phone.

New Beauty Items Worth Checking Out

I have been on a little shopping frenzy the last week or so. There has been a lot of stuff going on and retail therapy, for me at least, is one of the very few things that can calm me down. But even on a shopping frenzy I do try my best to behave. Here are a few new products I saw that I wanted to share with you guys. They are definitely worth checking out for the spring season!

BARE MINERALS COMPLEXION RESCUE $29

The newest addition to the Bare Minerals family, this foundation has been all the craze lately in the beauty community and believe me it is worth the hype. If you guys would like to know a little more on this product check out my previous post!

Available in 10 Shades
HOURGLASS MODERNIST EYESHADOW PALETTE $58

Hourglass has done it again and they FINALLY released an eyeshadow palette! Hourglass is very well known for their Ambient Lighting Powders and Blushes (These are also AMAZING products). These eyeshadows have the same soft texture as their powders and are very pigmented and luxurious. They are pricey like all Hourglass products but the quality is worth every penny.

Available in 7 other color patterns

DR. JART DERMACLEAR MICRO WATER $32

It is no secret that Dr. Jart has become a very popular beauty brand over the last year. Dermaclear micro water is just another fancier term for toner. However unlike toners out on the market today this one contains 90% all natural ingredients and 85% active hydrogen mineral water delivering a pure cleansing solution for your skin. It will remove dirt and makeup while keeping your skin nice and toned and bright.

REVIEW: Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue (NEW)

BARE MINERALS COMPLEXION RESCUE TINTED HYDRATING GEL CREAM

PACKAGING:

- Comes in a light bronze tube

-Available in 10 shades

Sold at Bare Minerals shops and online as well as Sephoras & Ultas

Retail $29.00

FORMULATION:

Complexion Rescue is a combination of a BB cream, CC cream AND a tinted moisturizer all in one. I was fairly surprised at how much I loved this product. Over the years I have not been a huge fan of Bare Minerals' foundations. There was something about them that never looked 100% right on my skin. This foundation however I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! It is very hydrating and feels very light on the skin. The texture is a gel like consistency which makes for easy application and blending.

It wears on skin for quite a long time especially with a primer underneath. The coverage is pretty great and adjustable to your preference. Layer as much or little as you like. The finish is a natural glow within look, not too matte or too shiny. It also contains SPF 30!!!

GREAT FOR ALL SKIN TYPES

This is a great grab and go product. You can use your fingers for application so no need to fuss with so many brushes in the morning. It is also a one step product meaning you don't have to layer your moisturizer, SPF and foundation just put this on clean skin and you are good to go!

Review: Bare Minerals- Bare Tutorials Smoky Eyes

Bare Tutorials Smoky Eyes

PACKAGING:

The kit comes in an aluminum tin that can be reused. It contains the following...
- 3 miniature Bare Minerals loose eyeshadow in Celestine, Soul & Graphite
-Lash Domination Mascara (Deluxe Size)
-Dual Ended Brush
-Tutorial Sheet

This kit is limited edition and available where Bare Minerals products are sold. The kit retails for $29.50. But remember Bare Minerals eyeshadows usually retail around for $14-$15 each and they last for a very long time. These small sizes will also last you for quite awhile. The mascara on its own full size retails at $22 and if you were to buy the brushes (it only comes dual-ended in the kit) it will set you back another $30 ish dollars. So great deal you guys are getting here not to mention great Christmas gift idea for makeup lovers!

There is also a natural look kit that features pressed eyeshadows.

FORMULATION:

Eyeshadows:

Bare Minerals mineral eyeshadows are some of the best mineral eyeshadows out on the market today. They are nicely milled and super pigmented. But they are messy to work with if you don't have any experience with mineral makeup. I do recommend using an eyeshadow guard or foiling (a technique that blends your shadow with some type of liquid like a mixing medium, eyedrops or even H2O to help the shadow not only adhere to your eyelids better but also brings out the color even more) your shadows when applying on your eyelid to help with fall out. I love the colors in this kit. When you think of smoky eyes you probably think of black or brown. This set gives you a unique twist on the classic smoky eye and looks great with pretty much any eye color. You can either follow the tutorial provided or just do your own thing.

From Left to Right: Celestine, Soul & Graphite

Celestine- Light copper brown (shimmer)

Soul- White beige color (matte)

Graphite- Soft black with green undertones (matte)

Top Left: Celestine
Top Right: Soul
Bottom: Graphite
 Lash Domination:

I been wanting to try out this mascara for some time now and thanks to this kit I finally get to try it without shedding out $22. This mascara is awesome. I have tried other Bare Minerals mascaras but didn't like them so much. This one gives me great full looking lashes without it looking clumpy. The formula is semi wet so not too dry nor too wet. It wears for a couple hours but does tend to flake at the end of the day. But remember everyone has different lashes so what may or may not work on me may or may not work on you.

The only issue I have with this mascara is that while the wand is rubber it isn't flexible and if you are a klutz like me accidentally hit your eye while applying it can hurt.

 Dual- Ended Brush:

I am not a fan of mini brushes that comes in kits. I find them pretty much useless because it is very difficult to have full control. This brush however isn't that bad. If you are familiar with Bare Minerals'  brushes you know that they have small handles. I'm not sure why they do this. Their brushes are awesome but I prefer longer handles to get more control (Yes, I do realize there is a dirty joke in here... get your head out of the gutters people).

The hair on this brush is super soft and you can use both ends to get a decent look.

Favorite Fall Lipsticks High-End BLOGTOBER OCTOBER 8, 2014

A couple posts back I talked about my favorite fall drugstore lipsticks. Today I am going to show you guys my favorite fall High-End Lipsticks. These are all a great investment if you guys do choose to go for a more pricer lip color.

From Left to Right:

MAC Rebel:
I love love love this color!!! This is a lipstick that will always be on trend for the fall season. It is the perfect plum color and goes well with any skin tone. The texture is super creamy and glides on smoothly. The wear time with MAC lipsticks isn't the best but for this color it is totally worth every penny!!!

MAC Violetta:
For those of you who want to be a little funky try this one on for size. This pretty violet color is great paired with winged eyeliner and full lashes. Another bonus it makes your teeth look whiter :D

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie in Raise the Bar:
This is for those of you who don't really feel comfortable with dark and funky colors this fall. While it is a bit on the nude side the coppery undertone definitely screams fall. This color reminds me of the leaves changing colors.

YSL Rouge Volupte in #12:
This is one of more pricer lipsticks but totally worth it. Rich, creamy and not to mention the GORGEOUS color you can't go wrong with it!

From Left to Right:
MAC Rebel- Medium plum (Satin)
MAC Violetta- Bright Violet (Amplified)
Raise the Bar- Coppery nude (Satin)
YSL #12- Bright raspberry plum (Satin/matte)

Favorite Dark Lipsticks

1.) REBEL By MAC- A mid-tone creamy plum color with a satin finish. This is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE LIPSTICKS hands down. It looks great on pretty much all skin tones. It is not as dark as it looks in the tube so it is very wearable.

2.) DIVA By MAC- Intense reddish-burgundy with a matte finish. This lipstick reminds me of the 1920s Flapper girls. A very classic and classy color. And the best part is unlike other matte lipsticks this one isn't drying at all and feels really nice on the lips.
DIVA

3.) FAULTLESSLY By MAC- Yes yes I know another MAC Lipstick. But they really have a great variety of dark lip colors compared to any other brands out there. Faultlessly is an amplified (very pigmented) dark purple. It has a semi-matte finish. This definitely isn't a lipstick most people would go for including myself. It is incredibly goth like dark. However if you just wear it on its own without any heavy eye makeup it can look pretty great. If you have either a really fair complexion or a really dark complexion I wouldn't recommend this one for you.
FAULTLESSLY

4.) VIOLETTA By MAC- A clean vibrant violent purple. This is for those of you out there who would like to be bolder by not super dark with their lips this fall. This is a really pretty purple that looks great on light to medium-tan skin tones. It has a cooler undertone and can give you the appearance of whiter teeth. Super fun lipstick overall. It doesn't go as dark as it looks in the tube but it is bright.

5.) THE QUEEN'S KISS By L'Oreal - A light satin finish burgundy, cranberry purple. This was a limited edition lipstick awhile back but can still be purchased online. It is super moisturizing and feels great on the lips. The color pigmentation is very nice but not to overwhelming. This is perfect for those of you who want to experiment with darker lip colors but not go overboard.
THE QUEEN'S KISS

6.) RAISE THE BAR By Bare Minerals- A pearl plum color. This lipstick is part of Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Line. This line of lipsticks are incredibly moisturizing and also contains Vitamins A, C, and E that help deliver antioxidants. So not only you will look good but will also do good for your lips.
RAISE THE BAR

7.) SUGAR PLUM FAIRY By Wet n Wild- A semi matte fuchsia with a dark burgundy undertone. Again this is a great color for those who want to experiment with dark colors but not super dark. Wet n Wild lipsticks are very affordable and great quality. They are EXTREMELY pigmented so a little goes a long way. They can get a bit drying on your lips but as long as you have a lip balm under it you will be fine.
